The premiere of the show ‘Once upon a Light' was part of the official opening of the International Light Art Festival GLOW.
During a half-hour performance in the Philips, Stadium visitors got sucked into the story of Eindhoven, the City of Light. Eindhoven has been a source of light for the whole world since the founding of the light bulb factory Philips in 1891. The show is a magical and innovative combination of splendid music, light effects, and urban dancers in 3D projections on a 60-meter-wide stage. Bringing multi-disciplines together in one show and telling the story of the invention of light in an imaginative way.
Light Art Festival GLOW is a yearly enormous exhibition in public space of 30 famous national and international light artists. This year in particular it was a mix of international and local artists, each and everyone focused on light art and talent development, resulting in a versatile light art festival. The twelfth edition enjoyed more than 700.000 visitors.
